This highly ornate athame is decorated with a faux brass hilt, as well as a faux brass sheath. Both the handle and the sheath are decorated with intricate patterns of knotwork and leaves, presenting a more elegant appearance than most bladed tools. The sheath also comes adorned with a long, braided red tassel, in a style similar to many other eastern blades, that can be used to fasten it to a belt and locks the knife in place so that that a button must be pressed to release it. The blade itself measures approximately 5 1/2", and is etched with the winding form of an oriental dragon. Including the handle, the athame has a total length of 10 1/2", making it a marvelous ritual tool. This double edged blade is NOT FOR SALE IN MA.
