A great way to preserve the life of your books even as you make them more convenient to use, this book holder is intended to raise your book up from your shelf, countertop, or altar and help preserve its binding. Created with two interlocking slats of wood which have been carved into an intricate framework of leaves and foliage, the whole holder has been finished with a dark stain that brings out the wood's natural grain.
When folded flat, the whole thing measures approximately 13" long and 6 1/2" wide. However, when it is unfolded, it creates an "X" shape, with four sturdy legs to support your book within a v, that will lift the book several inches from the surface of your altar, table or desk and will keep the binding from being ruined as it can be when a book is folded flat. When on unfolded, the holder measures approximately 7" high, 11" wide and 6 1/2" deep. All of this allows you to easily store it on your book shelf or in your desk and then keep your book of shadows, and other books of ritual craft safe and in reach as you work your rituals and spells.
